Mrs. Karyn Stewart Dodd

Certified Speech and Language Therapist (CertRCSLT)

Founder of The Speech and Language Practice in 1986. Karyn has extensive clinical experience in speech and language therapy with children and adults. She has a particular interest in specific language impairment, and social communication difficulties in Aspergers type autistic spectrum disorders.

Dr. Caroline Law

Certified Speech and Language Therapist (CertRCSLT)

Caroline has 18 years experience working as a speech and language therapist. She has worked with adults and children in the UK and Australia. She completed her PhD in Sydney in 1997 and she has worked as a lecturer and researcher at Macquarie University, Sydney as well as a speech and language therapist in private practice. Recently, she has returned to the UK and is working in the Somerset area. Her main areas of interest are neuro-rehabilitation, language disorders and dyslexia.

Mrs. Andrea Stroud

Certified Speech and Language Therapist (CertRCSLT)

I have over 22 years experience working with clients of all ages with a variety of communication difficulties. I work in both acute and community settings. Specific specialties include working with traumatic brain injury, communication aids and dysphagia (swallowing difficulties). I have been the lead clinician in the development and implementation of The Dysphagia Awareness Training Programme which is used by the Dorset Speech and Language Therapy team to train other professionals in the management of patients with dysphagia.

Ms. Lucy Procter

Practice Administrator

Lucy lives near Sherborne with her young family and lots of horses. Mainly working from home, Lucy has worked for Karyn since 2001.
